Gregory H. Robinson
Foundation Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, The University of Georgia
Gregory H. Robinson was born and educated in Alabama. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from Jacksonville State University and attended graduate school at The University of Alabama, where he studied under Professor Jerry L. Atwood. Greg began his academic career in 1985 at Clemson University and attained the rank of Professor. Greg moved to The University of Georgia in 1995 and now hold the rank of Foundation Distinguished Professor of Chemistry. In the early1980s Alan and Jerry had a very productive collaboration in main group chemistry and Greg first met Alan on one of his frequent visits to Tuscaloosa. Greg has long admired Alan’s exceptional chemistry and his elegant writing style in his research articles.
