Miguel A. Mardones

Miguel Mardones graduated from UT, Cowley’s Group, in 1992. In 1992, he assumed the position of Researcher at The Mining and Metallurgy Research Center (CIMM) in Santiago, Chile. In 1995 he founded Pacific Chemical and assumed the position of Manager in 1997. In 2001 he became the Director of the Environmental Technologies Program of Intec-Fundacion Chile. In 2007 he returned to Pacific Chemical. Pacific Chemical is a Chilean company, devoted to the design and fabrication of gas washers for the mining and chemical industries, in Chile and overseas (Peru, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia). The Company also has developed technologies for the recovery of precious metals contained in wasted automotive catalytic converters, printed circuit boards and measuring of gases in process lines.
Miguel is married to Oriana Soto and is father of Juan, Caroline, Daniela, Alejandro and Fernando.
Alan was a consultant at Intec and Fundacion Chile. In 2007, Alan became a partner at Pacific Chemical and he is participating in the develop of a novel “Green” technology for the abatement of odors produced in many industrial processes.
